Who is Carver Elementary Carver Elementary and Arts Magnet School is composed of two programs housed as one elementary school. These are Program A (traditional) and Program B (creative arts magnet). Currently, with the institution of the Middle-School approach and the addition of a Pre-Kindergarten program, Carver Elementary serves grades Pre-K through 5. Grades K-2 are self-contained, and grades 3-5 are departmentalized. The school is staffed by a principal, one counselor, 25 certified classroom teachers, 8 artists and 9 specialists, and three teacher aides. In addition there is one itinerant professional and support personnel including two secretaries, seven lunchroom workers, and three custodians

Carver’s Back Pack Program Student enrollment averages approximately 500 students a year but this number fluctuates pretty constantly due to the “transient students”. 50 students are currently being served. Our Challenge to You! Improve Food insecurity for the children of our community by getting and staying involved. Volunteer to pack a backpack once a month or donate to a current Backpack program. Seek out an organization that is willing to adopt a school as a mission or community project. Never think you don’t have time or can’t afford to help because GOD always makes a way!
