What is Globalization?

Widening; Deepening; and Speeding up of world interconnectedness.

In other words, it refers to the processes in which social relations obtain relatively “borderless” qualities.

What is internationalization?

It refers to the process of intensifying connections between national domains. In international relations, countries are divided from each other by clearly marked frontiers, but in a globalized world there are no borders for transnational corporations (TRNs).

Globalization transform world politics and alter the traditional way of thinking.

Growing intensity of worldwide interconnectedness:“shrinking world”.

What are the consequences of globalization?

There are three different perspectives: Hyperglobalists Sceptics Transformationalists

Hyperglobalists: suggest that it is resulting to the “demise of the sovereign nation state”.

Sceptics: contend that states and geopolitics remain the principle agent.

Transformationalists: demise of the nation state are exaggerated however globalization has been associated with the coming about of the new global politics.

Global interconnectedness has appeared at the forefront in many spheres, but mostly evident in economic integration.
