PLAN 10697 : POPS-B - New project E. Blanco, BE/ICS 28/09/17 Project (EDMS 1643409) New main power system for the supply of the Main ring Dipole and Quadrupole magnets. It will need a complete industrial control system. (The current PSB Main Power Supply is not suited to provide the voltage and current profiles required by the increased extraction energy from 1.4 GeV to 2 GeV) It will be based on CERN UNICOS framework and SIEMENS CPU S7-1500. In terms of additional functionality that is required by the UNICOS framework, it had been summarized in the document sent to BE-ICS on 13th of June 2017.
