Who Are We? The Office of Naval Research was founded to “foster, plan, facilitate and transition scientific research in recognition of its paramount importance to enable future naval power and the preservation of national security.” We serve the warfighter and help defend the nation by discovering, developing and transitioning innovative science and technology (S&T) to meet the current and future needs of naval forces.

As the Director of Civilian Human Resources, my department serves as strategic partners and advisors to the command leadership on civilian human resources matters and is responsible for the execution of the Command’s HR program. We provide HR leadership, policy, strategic planning, and consulting services for our managers and employees. We assist in acquiring and retaining highly qualified, well educated employees.
