About La Raza… The story about the La Raza restaurant is bornt back in1932, when Mr. Rodriguez Cala founds the Barbiana’s manzanilla winerie, where spanish fino cherry is made. After that came in 1938 Los Corales Restaurant, in 1946 La Hostería del Prado, and in 1954 La Raza Restaurant which gives name to the group. On the 70’s, the management passes to the second generation of the family, and will not be until 2005 when the founder’s grandchildren, the third generation, begins to rule the business until nowdays.
…About La Raza The long path of La Raza Group, supported by its more than 80 years of history, is marked by a strong compromise with a qualified tradicional gastronomy, and the careful dedication to the client. Its stablishments are a part of the history of Seville… 1946.- La Hostería del Prado, at the Prado de San Sebastián, next to the Royal Tobacco Factory, now headquarters of The University of Seville. 1954.- La Raza Restaurant, old liquors store during the Iberoamerican Exposition of 1929 within the Maria Luisa Park. 2011.- Los Corales, the return to our origins, the new concept: gastrobar. 2011.- EntreCárceles, the recovery of this ancient tavern with history since 1894.
