County Sports Partnerships (CSPs) and Coach Support

CSPs 49 CSPs across the country Funded by Sport England (2017) SASP are based just outside Wellington Wesport, Active Devon, Active Dorset, WASP, Active Gloucestershire, Cornwall are the SW CSPs

Role of CSP & programmes Provide NGBs with support to increase participation at a county level through funding, facilities workforce etc. Programmes include: Sportivate, Sport Makers, Community Games, School Games, Satellite Clubs Support clubs, coaches, volunteers, groups across Somerset Focus is on 14 – 25 year olds and the Active People Survey 32.9% APS for Somerset

Coach Development Support coaches to develop through a variety of means Online coaches database Regular CPD workshops and courses Funding bursaries for qualifications Regular communications via email, twitter and Facebook NGB projects to support specific coaching groups
