Homework choice menu Homework number 1 2 3 4 5 6 Below are all the tasks that you can choose from each time the homework is set. As the tasks go from left to right they get more difficult. You may choose to complete any of the tasks in any order but you must choose at least 2 Futurist tasks and 1 Dada task from the menu at some point. You will have to pick a total of 6 tasks from this menu. Each task completed well will gain house points for you. Tick them off when completed. It must tell me something about you through the images you choose. Minimum 10 images. Typography design. Write your name in an interesting & stylish typography that reflects you. Add colour. To extend this you could write your families names in interesting fonts. List a minimum of 10 products that can be made using vacuum forming. Explain the features of a vacuum formed product. Creative writing. Write a 500 word short story with your new action figure design as the main character. Try to be as creative as you can. You could also illustrate your story. Branding yourself. Design a logo and brand identify that reflects you. Use images that show your personality and colours that you like. Construct a paper model of a 3D animal. Ask your teacher for the instruction sheet. Book cover design. Imagine your character is to be used as the main character in a book. Design the cover for the book. Include images, name, logo and author details. Use sketches, labeled diagrams and detailed information to produce an instruction booklet called ‘How to Vacuum form’. The booklet must be suitable for year 6 students, be easy to follow, bright and bold. Research. Print out 2 examples of action figures that you like. Evaluate each using the questions and keywords provided by your teacher. For a design movement of your choice create an A4 sized mood board of images. The mood board must include at least 15 images from the chosen design movement. Create a power point presentation introducing your new toy to toy shops. You must make the toy shops want to sell your toy in their shops, how can you do this? Minimum 5 slides. Your new toy is to be developed in to a comic strip character. Design the first comic strip where your toy appears. What happens in the comic. Include dialogue and colour in your designs.
