What is a Logo Recognizable and distinctive graphic design, stylized name, unique symbol, or other device for identifying an organization. It is affixed, included, or printed on all advertising, buildings, communication, literature, products, stationery and vehicles Logos can be displayed along side a company's name in order to generate awareness of the company's association with a particular product or service.

What makes a good Logo

Appropriate Logos An effective logo design should be memorable and this is achieved by having a simple, yet, appropriate logo

Using the right colors in your logo design will stimulate the right attitude from your customers. When one is trying to select a color for his company trademark in food logos just close eyes and think of colors that remind you of mouth watering feasts.

It should be timeless – that is, it will endure the ages It should be timeless – that is, it will endure the ages. Will the logo still be effective in 10, 20, 50 years? And in this case Schweppes has lasted for centuries and its still recognised

3 Inappropriate Logos A-Style very intentionally created this dirty design and the masses were unimpressed. Some claimed that it looked like “some sort of comical sex act”

Proper punctuation and spelling should always be encouraged

Conclusion It is also important to state that that a logo doesn’t need to show what a business sells or offers as a service. ie. Car logos don’t need to show cars, computer logos don’t need to show computers. The Harley Davidson logo isn’t a motorcycle, nor is the Nokia logo a mobile phone. A logo is purely for identification.
