Acceleration!!

Acceleration: Change in velocity over time Ex: when you pedal harder on your bike to gain speed your velocity changes. When you slow down to stop, velocity changes.

Acceleration Equation: a = Δv t a = final velocity – initial velocity time

So what do you think?? Knowing how to solve for acceleration, what is the unit for this variable?? Thinking about the equation to solve for acceleration, what do you think the acceleration is for an object with a constant velocity?

What does acceleration tell you? If acceleration is small, the object’s speed is increasing very gradually If acceleration is large, speed is increasing rapidly
