PCL Business Creation The main focus of PCL Advanced Technology is the know-how generation process. The most common project type is the Pre-Concept Know How (PCKH) project. Projects like these generally start with ideas and aims towards making the ideas into tangible results. Output of PCKH project are: Reference implementations Feasibility studies of features, architectures and hardware Prototypes/Demonstrator for the customers (other Philips departments) with certain features or gadgets

PCL Business Creation Advanced Technology is a CL front-end innovation with focus on future products and business of the PCLbusiness units. PCL Advanced technology works with Technology & Function creation in cooperation with external parterns (Open Innovation) New business development (Scouting) Business intelligence Integrated product development (Outsourcing, transfer, ..)

PCL HIIC’s contribution to APARSEN (focus = Home (-like) environment) Provide access to APARSEN-related procedures/etc in Philips Consumer Lifestyle. Participate in the definition/exploitation of APARSAN ideas / vision / framework / services / … Assessment of APARSEN ideas / vision / framework / infrastructure / services / … in the context of Philips Consumer Lifestyle‘s practice. Integration (depending of the assessment outcomes). What about DRM?

PCL HIIC’s competence related to APARSEN Experiences related to digital preservation also in relation to external partners (confidentiality); ‘eCAD, mCAD, Test, Simulation, …’-tools and methods / -procedures / -organizational issues Many users, many site.
