Let there be light: Understanding electricity Sparrows Class Spring 2016 Literacy To listen to a range of stories To show a preference for a story To interact and be involved in a sensory story To participate in activities related to a story To create pictures and props from a story Numeracy To be able to move a toy forwards, backwards, left and right To be able to find objects in containers, under containers and on top of containers To identify one, two and three objects Design Technology To explore a range of different bags and their uses To explore a range of different materials used for bags To be taught to identify different patterns To design and make a bag Science Let there be light: Understanding electricity To be able to identify electrical items in our environment To use a switch to make an electrical item work e.g. radio To explore a range of different lights To be able to make an electronic toy work Creative Curriculum 50’s – 00s To explore how fashion has changed from the 1950’s to now To create and taste different recipes from the 1950s to now To explore how leisure activities have changed from the 1950s to now To explore how music has changed from the 1950s to now.
