Presentation of Kalinin Igor RADIATION Presentation of Kalinin Igor

Radiation is when energy moves through space away from a source. What is radiation? Radiation is when energy moves through space away from a source. A fact: Radiation is one of the best understood parts of physics.

No What causes radiation? Radioactive decays Nuclear reactions Acceleration of particles in space Can radiation that is produced by environment affect us in a bad way? No

Can radiation affect us if it’s being used improperly by humans? Indeed it can Examples? Chernobyl Disaster Fukushima nuclear disaster

Anything that we, ordinary people can do about bad use of radiation? Not much, however, there is a question – should we even try? Easy way of getting massive amounts of energy Allows cancer treatment Is used for X-Rays Radiation can be really useful and safe in the right hands, but at the same time possesses a great danger to every living thing on the planet.
