Cuneiform Definition-the world’s first system of writing. The Sumerians developed the cuneiform. Sentence-The Sumerians used stylists to write onto clay tablets because they didn’t have and paper or pen.

Pictograph Definition-is a picture symbol. Sentence-She saw a pictograph carved on that wall.

Scribe Definition-a writer Sentence-Government officials and temples hired scribes to keep their records.

Epic Definition-Long poems that tell the stories of heroes. Sentence-Later, people used some of these poems to create The Epic of Gilgamesh, the story of a Sumerian king. The epic of Gilgamesh

Architecture Definition-The science of building. Sentence-The Sumerians’, skills in the field of art metalwork, and architecture are well known us. Ancient Egyptian architecture

Ziggurat Definition-A pyramid-shaped temple tower. Sentence-A ziggurat rose above each city.
