The Woodstock Legacy What we can take away from Woodstock is that the '60s had been a rough decade, proven by three assassinations of the two Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King, many killed in the Viet Nam war and a civil rights battle led by riots and other violence. This peaceful gathering proved that through tough times and hardships, the people of America can come together for a celebration of peace, love, and music.
