One of the best ways to ensure that you get enough physical activity is to exercise. There are two types of exercise: Aerobic (with oxygen) 5X a week Anaerobic (without oxygen) 2-3 X week
Skill-Related Fitness Agility-ability to change positions of your body quickly (wrestling, diving, soccer, basketball, football, gymnastics, martial arts) Balance-ability to keep upright while standing or moving (gymnastics/ice skating/dance/skiing) Coordination-ability to use your senses together with multiple body parts (baseball, softball, tennis, golf, badminton, bowling) Power-ability to use strength quickly ( shot put, discus, high jump, football, swim races/cross-country skiing) Reaction Time-amount of time it takes to move once you realize the need to act (baseball, basketball, football, racquetball) Speed-ability to perform a movement or cover a distance in a short period of time (sprinting, soccer, pitching, football, martial arts) ****Good health does not come from skill-related fitness…..it comes from being active
