DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Orientation Required First Aid/CPR/BBP and Caregiver Core Training Caregiver Continuing Education (CCE)* 36 hours the first 3-year licensing period** 30 hours the second 3-year licensing period 24 hours each subsequent 3-year licensing period *You are encouraged to take up to 12 hours of CCE between the time you submit your application and you receive your license, as these hours will carry over to your first 3-year licensing period. Additionally, you may carry 12 hours of CCE from one licensing period over to the next licensing period. **During the first 3-year licensing period, you must take at least one training from each category, and at least one of these must be culturally- based. allianceforchildwelfare.org
