Why more women and minority-owned suppliers? The Facts: Current largest customer segment: Women age 35 to 55. Women control 80% of all consumer purchases at home. Women consider corporate behavior far more than men do. Women owned/run businesses have a far better position and understanding of women consumers. The African-American market ($913 billion) and the Hispanic market ($951 billion) combined are larger than the entire economies of all but thirteen countries.
