What We Will Be Working on: Greetings from Kindergarten and First Grade! Week of: September 25th- 29th What We Will Be Working on: Reader’s Workshop: Kindergartners will focus on rereading. First graders will continue working on good habits, such as tracking and rereading. Writer’s Workshop: Students will work on stretching out their words when they write. Literacy Groups: Students will continue working on foundational skills, such as handwriting, sight words and word building. Math: Kindergarteners will focus on: identifying the number of objects in groups of 5. First graders will focus on addition word problems. Character: Students will focus on a BRICK review . Important Dates: September 26th –PTO September 28th: Picture Day October 4th: 12:00 Dismissal, dollar dress down October 6th: Spirit Day- wear orange for Unity Day October 24th: PTO October 27th: Harvest Party September Homework We began the September homework a little late this month. Ordinarily, we would collect the homework at the end of the month, which would be this Friday. We are going to leave September homework in the binder so we can all play catch up.
