Most help is available at http://occ.ibo.org You already have an account – see handout. You might also suggest that your student read some of the A and B Extended Essays from the past, available in the MBK Library.

These deadlines are already established: By May 17, student should have met with you about topic By June 5, student should have met with you to “demonstrate significant progress” By June 12, student who had not done the above should have remedied the situation; signed progress report is due By Sept 7, copy of rough draft is due Suggested steps-along-the-way: By June 5, you may want to see his/her list of sources. These should include books and any available experts who can be interviewed (by phone, in person or by e-mail). When appropriate, sources should indicate more-than-an-American perspective. Exchange e-mail addresses and phone numbers with your student. IB juniors may check out MBK library books for the summer.

Extended essay training for supervisors Your student is: to bring you this by tomorrow, and to provide you with each of these 5 items
