Project HOME/2014/JDRU/AG/DRUG/7086 Identification and assessment of new psychoactive substances: a new European network 1. NILMFC The National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (NILMFC) is a public institute, endowed with corporate entity and administrative and financial autonomy, subject to the supervision and guardianship of the Minister of Justice. It is an institution that is responsible for the co-ordination, guidance and supervision of all the country activities related with forensic expertises and other forensic activities. Foreseen activities in the framework of this project WorkStream 1 - Activity 2a (month 3 – month 14) Provide urine samples for qualitative analysis by HRMS key questions: Criterion for selection of samples; If necessary perform qualitative analysis of NPS by UPLC-MS/MS on forensic urine samples and urine samples collected in urgency room hospitals for common known NPS. key questions: List of standard substances available WorkStream 3 - Activity 2 (month 7 – month 18) Develop analytical method to perform qualitative analysis of NPS by UPLC-MS/MS on wastewater samples and urine samples collected in urgency room hospitals according to the list of core substances defined in WS1.
