Desktop Publishing: Magazine Cover Design Lesson 3/4 Year 9 ICT – Mr. Coleman

Starter Logon Get your folder Get your design out Refresh yourself with what you are making. Open your y9 Magazine Assessment document. Monitors off.

Objectives WALT: WILF: Know the importance of peer and self assessment. Understand the importance of reviewing and modifying your work as you progress. WILF: You have a finished magazine cover. You have peer assessed someone else’s cover and have had your cover peer assessed. You have evaluated your own magazine cover.

Task 1 – PEER ASSESSMENT Once you have finished your magazine cover: Find someone to PEER ASSESS your cover. They MUST complete TASK 3a in your y9 Magazine Assessment document. THEN Make any changes you think are appropriate based upon the peer assessment.

TASK 2 – SELF ASSESSMENT Complete self-evaluation tasks 3b and 3c in your Y9 Magazine Assessment Document. Finished? Electronically submit your work, as instructed by your teacher.

TASK 3 – HIGHER LEVEL TASK Try and re-create your magazine cover, this time for a DIFFERENT audience. Use your answers from Self Assessment (Task 3b) to help you.

TASK 4 – Electronic Submission Connect to your portfolio: Start  All Programs  ICT  shortcut to studentBITEfolio Click on ‘View Portfolio’ Copy and Paste your ‘Magazine Cover’ folder into your portfolio. Click ‘Exit Portfolio’
