Before Global Energy took over the site Port of Nigg Before Global Energy took over the site

> Port of Nigg Vision for Enhancement Secure long term leases for the fabrication buildings allowing the occupants to bid for larger contracts. Transform site from a fabrication yard to a multi purpose energy park. Utilise / Enhance the buildings and infrastructure. Attract other companies to lease facilities and utilise the site. Repair / Replace the quay and offer high ground loading capacities. Provide large laydown and storage areas adjacent to the quays. Provide deep water berthing to attract shipping and renewables opportunities Provide high quality offices and good IT infrastructure Improve the dry dock structure to accommodate larger vessels.

> Experience Renewables (2004) Scroby Sands, Offshore Wind Farm Contracted to: PowerGen Renewable Energy Project: The Offshore Wind Farm is located on the Scroby Sands sandbank in the North Sea, 2.5 kilometres off the coast of Great Yarmouth. It was commissioned in March 2004 by PowerGen Renewables Offshore and expected to produce up to a maximum of 60 MW of power, enough to supply 41,000 households. Each of the 30 wind turbines at Scroby Sands has a monopile (single pile) foundation. The 200mt long cylindrical steel tubes are 4m in diameter and up to 50m long. The foundations were manufactured by Global Energy Group (formerly Isleburn) and upon completion were installed 30m into the sea bed.

> Experience Renewables (2006-2007) Beatrice Wind Farm Demonstrator Contracted to: Talisman Energy (UK) / SSE Project: Global Energy Group (formerly Isleburn) were contracted to assemble 2no. Turbines (5MW each) for the Beatrice Wind Farm project in the Outer Moray Firth. Scope of work included the assembly, erection and load out of the two turbines from Nigg Energy Park.

> Experience Renewables (2014) Moray Firth & Inch Cape Met Mast Installation Contracted to: DRACE Infraestructuras UK Project: Global Energy Group were contracted to receive delivery of 2 x concrete gravity base foundations mid-firth, tow to berthing location, manufacture steel lattice section of the met masts and assemble 2no. meteorological masts. One for the 1.1GW Moray Firth offshore wind farm and one for the 900MW Inch Cape wind farm, off the Tay Estuary. The projects are being developed by Moray Offshore Renewables (MORL), led by EDPR and Red Rock Power UK, a 100% owned UK arm of SDIC (State Development Investment Corporation, China)

> Experience Renewables (2016) Statoil Hywind, Suction Anchor Buckets Contracted to: Statoil Project: Hywind Floating Offshore Wind SOW: Fabrication of 15 suction anchors at Nigg Energy Park for the world’s first floating wind farm array, offshore Peterhead, Scotland.

> Experience Renewables (2018-2020) SSE Beatrice Offshore Wind Contracted to: Siemens Project: Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd SOW: Global Energy Group’s Nigg Energy Park facility has been nominated as the Staging Port for the Beatrice Offshore Wind project. Scopes include the provision of dedicated quayside and yard space, marshalling, storage, assembly and load out of 84 turbines sets. The port of Nigg has one of the UK’s largest deep water quaysides, together with 50mt/m2 ground bearing capacity and ample yard space that can receive and store the largest turbines and towers available on the market.

> Experience Renewables (2016) AK-1000 and MeyGen Phase 1a Contracted to: Atlantis Resources Project: Global Energy Group were contracted to fabricate the upper and lower tidal turbine connector units, the gravity base structure and the 6 ballast boxes for the initial AK-1000 tidal turbine demonstrator. In summer 2016, Global completed fabrication of 4 foundations at Nigg Energy Park for the world’s first commercial tidal array and final assembly of the turbines. Two turbines are now generating power, with the other two due on stream soon.

> Experience Renewables (2016) Dounreay Tri Ltd Contracted to: Dounreay Tri Ltd Project: Global Energy Group are contracted to fabricate the 3,300mt truss that connects the 3 columns of the floating foundation structure, that will support two turbines. GEG will assemble the final structure including the wind turbines. The DTL floating turbines are due to be loaded out from The Port of Nigg’s dry dock, in summer 2018.
