President’s Report Overview: Assumed Acting President role in the fall Coming out of Nov 1, 2015 SGM, key priority for the year became review of the OMSC/H2O financial model Successful negotiations with the H2O preserving the spirit and cost structure of the original contract. In addition - many other accomplishments this year!

President’s Report Accomplishments: Careful management of our finances Earned the right to host the 2017 Provincials Largest Fright Fest ever! Large contingent to Vernon and Provincials. New coaching policy finalized this year as well as coaching agreements.

President’s Report Accomplishments continued... OMSC did not run lake programs but our members were very involved in the ATLS, RSIS and Apple Tri OMSC members participated in many community charity events this year. 2016 saw an increase in engagement with our members

President’s Report - OMSC/H2O Contract OMSC/H2O negotiations: Thorough review of our financial and resource utilization models was completed The YMCA/H2O agreed to pay for all program costs for the coming year OMSC has revised resource utilization models that we will adjust as our membership numbers vary.

President’s Report Priorities for 2016/17: 1. Grow membership numbers and enhance members’ engagement a. Proactive management of our lanes/coaches as membership numbers change b. Work closely with the Coaching Team to meet both our members and coaches’ needs. c. Refresh the website and look at technology solutions for some of our needs

Communications Director Report Newsletter interaction with members: Sent 78 email messages last season Can track open rate (avg. 65%) Primary communication channel for pool closures, social activities, events, etc. Members have access to past newsletters We have 192 active subscribers Facebook interaction with members: Thank you to Jeanette Hoft for creating the OMSC chat page (on Facebook) Currently we have 41 members, however, there is room for growth Good place to find out about volunteer opportunities, fun events, and to see photos Closed group to ensure it stays relevant to OMSC members

Communication Director’s Report 2016/2017 Plan: Continue to use MailChimp for weekly club communications and announcements Don’t unsubscribe unless you really mean to as email is our main form of communication with members (i.e. pool closures, coaching messages, special events) Ensure timely communication for the upcoming provincials as well as work to include OMSC’s provincial standing Continue to respond to inquiries big and small which are received through communications@okmasters.com
