Buda castle For centuries Buda was the scene of important historical events. It is a castle and palace complex. Nowadays two museums –Budapest History Museum, Hungarian National Gallery-and Hungary’s biggest library can be visited here. Mátyás church is also located in Buda’s Castle District. From the oldest existing text in Hungarian to the latest printed materials are collected here in the National Széchenyi library.

Mátyás templom Mátyás-templom) is a church located in Budapest, Hungary, at the heart of Buda's Castle District. Originally it was built in 1015. In many respects the 700 year history of the church serves as a symbol of the city’s rich, yet often tragic history. The church was the scene of several coronations and King Matthias’ two weddings.

Operaház   The Hungarian State Opera House was built in neo- Renaissance style in 1884. The auditórium holds 1261seats. Ferenc Erkel composer of the Hungarian national anthem was the first music director of the opera house. The richly -decorated building was designed by Ybl Miklós, a major figure of Hungarian architecture of 19th century.

Lánchíd It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849. The bridge has the name of István Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, attached to it, but is most commonly known as the Chain Bridge. At the time of its construction, it was regarded as one of the modern world's engineering wonders. The oldest bridge of Budapest is 375 meters long.
