Morning After Pill Can be taken up to 5 days after unprotected sex Commonly administered after: Rape Inebriated Condom or contraception broke Prevents woman’s egg from releasing Thins lining around uterus so a fetus couldn’t attach

Adoption Not ready to raise a child Financially Emotionally Usually can choose open or closed adoption Open allows you to communicate with adoptive parents Closed legally forbids you to know anything about the child Why might adoption not be for you? Attachment at birth Morally can’t give up child Concern for child’s future Have to have both parents’ consent

Abortion Methods: Pill/Injection Suction Partial Birth Abortions - Can be taken only during the first 8 weeks Blocks necessary hormones the fetus needs Fetus drops of and leaves body vaginally Suction Can be done up to 24 weeks pregnant but some states have stricter laws Dr. inserts tube vaginally to remove placenta and fetus from uterus Partial Birth Abortions - Last 3 months of pregnancy Used saline to flood womb
