The Crimes of Jesus of Nazareth

Between Palms & Crosses Matthew 21:9 “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the named of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” Matthew 27:22 “Let him be crucified!”

The Crimes of Jesus of Nazareth What happened? What did Jesus do wrong?

A Story He Told Matthew 21:28-30 The story is told in response to the dishonesty in v. 23-27. The story invites us to judge both sons, one with approval and one without.

A Question You Answered Matthew 21:31a Why does he ask a question? Why does he ask this question? Why do they answer this question, but not the one in v. 25?

An Answer He Applied Matthew 21:31b-32 One son had responded well, but acted poorly. One son had responded poorly, but repented and acted well. The priests and elders had done neither!

The Crimes of Jesus of Nazareth THE FIRST CHARGE He told us that God values sincere action over insincere words.
