PREPOSITIONS

Prepositions: Prepositions can be translated differently according to the situation or the context of their use. Therefore it is advisable to memorize the different variations and uses depending on whether we speak of prepositions of place, movement or time. We will see that many of the prepositions are repeated in the different sections.

In (en, dentro, dentro de) Use (place): Used to indicate both enclosed spaces and open spaces. We use it to indicate that something is inside a thing, in a closed place, or inside something physically. Examples: I live in Brighton. (Vivo en Brighton.) The cat is in the box. (El gato está dentro la caja.)

At ( en, al, a, cerca de, tocando) Use (place): Used in front of buildings such as houses, airports, universities, for events such as meetings, parties, concerts, sports, etc., before "top", "bottom" the end of "and" arrive "when we refer to places other than cities or countries. Examples: She will see him at the theatre. (Le verá en el teatro.) Her name is at the bottom of the page. (Su nombre está en la parte inferior de la página)

On (sobre, encima de algo, tocando) Use (place): Placed in front of names of places with bases such as tables, floors, etc., when we refer to parts of a room as the ceiling or wall and to indicate that someone is inside a public transport or in a floor of a building. Examples: They have a photograph of Paris on the wall. (Tienen una foto de París en la pared.)  I am on the bus. (Estoy en el autobús.)
