CARING FOR YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS (For Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students) By Dollene Smith

Library books are special, Through them you learn wonderful things;

To keep them long - Follow these rules, You can’t go wrong!

Hug your books, Don’t get the wet;

Keep them safe, From dogs and cats.

Tell your brother and your sister, Not to draw those funny pictures –

In the pages of your book, And do not stain them with that gook!

Tell them that your books are dear, And PLEASE don’t let the pages tear.

Other children will want to hear,

treated your books with care! How YOU treated your books with care!
