Reading Street Our reading series consists of Text-Based Comprehension, Fluency, Oral Vocabulary, High-Frequency Words, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Writing, Grammar, Spelling, Listening and Speaking.

Envision Math Our math program consists of 15 topics that teach the following concepts: Fluently Add and Subtract within 100 Work with Equal Groups Add Within 1,000 Add Within 100 Subtract Within 1,000 Subtract Within 100 Measuring Length Solving Problems Using Graphs and Data Addition and Subtraction Shapes Time and Money Numbers to 1,000

Homework Guidelines All homework must be returned the following day. Please check you child’s homework. If your child has a mistake, please circle the mistake and have your child correct it. Please make a note on the homework worksheet if you notice your child having difficulty with it. Please sign planners. *Monday Test Envelopes: Please sign all tests and return them the next day.

Absentee Policy An absentee note is REQUIRED for each day your child is absent.  These notes are forwarded to the office.  Your child is given 10 excused absences with a note.  After that, a doctor's note is required for each additional absence.  Please send in the absentee note in a timely fashion.  This will prevent your child from receiving an unexcused absence.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Important Notes Any edible birthday treats must be purchased through the cafeteria.  Non-edible treats such as pencils or stickers may be brought from home.  If your child is passing out birthday invitations at school, he/she must bring invitations for all the boys, all the girls, or the whole class.     If you could donate a box of tissues to our room, it would be much appreciated!!!

Wishing Stars On the table you will find our wishing stars. On these stars there are items that our classrooms can use for the year. Please take one and help out if you are able! We truly appreciate it!

Raider Rules Our students will be expected to follow the Raider Rules: 1.  I will respect people and property by using kind words and actions. 2.  I will keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself. 3.  I will complete my daily class work and homework assignments on time. 4.  I will cooperate and participate without disruptions. 5.  I will do my best to follow directions the first time they are given.

Student of the Month Each month, students in each class, will be nominated for this honor. Teachers will make the recommendations based on qualities such as character, leadership, and citizenship. At our monthly assembly, the student(s) will be recognized and asked to join Mr. Fasnacht for an ice cream treat at the end of the school day.

PTO Information PTO will be having School Store and a book fair tonight in the library. Next PTO Meeting is Tuesday, September 12th at 6:30pm in the library. Room parents and grade captains will be picked at this time.
