Superbills
History of Superbills Before the Superbill was created, billers and coders had to translate the patient chart note from medical terminology into codes, just like you experienced a few minutes ago. What is a Superbill? The Superbill lists of the diagnoses, procedures, and charges for a patient's visit The Superbill is then attached to the patient health record and used by the biller/coder to create the claim for reimbursement processing.
