Living Sacrificed –Your “A” Game Romans 12:9-21 (part 1)

Seven Habits of Highly Sacrificed People:

True Love 12:9a

“Let love be without hypocrisy.”

2 Corinthians 6:6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love,

1 Peter 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

James 2:15–16 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

1 John 3:23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

1 John 4:20–21 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.

Right Hate 12:9b

“Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.”

Psalm 73:16–20 So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper Psalm 73:16–20 So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.

In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors In an instant they are destroyed, completely swept away by terrors. When you arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning.

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

“Da steala guy, he ony come fo steal, kill, an bus up da place “Da steala guy, he ony come fo steal, kill, an bus up da place. But I wen come so da peopo can come alive inside, an live to da max.”

Oneanotherishness 12:10

“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;”

John 13:34–35 “A new command I give you: Love one another John 13:34–35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 15:17 This is my command: Love each other.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.

Who signs your paycheck? 12:11

“not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;”

Ephesians 6:5–8 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart.

Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free.

Faith Under Fire 12:12 a & b

“rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation,”

Prayerishness 12:12c

“devoted to prayer,”

Giving 12:13a

“contributing to the needs of the saints,”

‘Hospitable Me’ 12:13b

“practicing hospitality.”
