Binder Labeling and Organization 6th Grade

Utility Binder Write “UTILITY BINDER” in the center of the front cover. On the bottom of the front cover, write your First Last name and HR: THILL Inside – 3 ring zippered pencil pouch 3-4 pencils 2 pens (1 black, 1 red, green, blue, or purple) 2 highlighters Eraser Student ID _____________, ________________ Student planner 5 tab dividers (Math, L. Arts, Science, SS, and other) This is where all HW assignments go, behind the correct tab Small section of loose leaf paper (approx. 25 sheets at a time)

SS Binder - Outside covers Using a BLACK sharpie marker, write Social Studies down the narrow binding. On the front cover (in the center), write World Geography. (Bottom of front cover) Your name Thill – period #

INSIDE: Labeling your tabs Your SYLLABUS will be the first thing inside your binder. Label 5 tabs, in order! Unit Maps Atlas work Graded Work Reference

Organization NO Loose papers – always in the rings of a binder BEFORE leaving classroom! Utility Binder – only 1 day’s papers, goes to each class and home each night Go through your book-bag once a week Check your grades online – every week on TH/F Pay attention to deadlines and write them in your planner. Share school events with your parents. When you are out of supplies, inform your parents and get what you need to do your job here at school.
