Assigning Practice Tests to Your Team

Overview Thanks for your interest in the National Economics Challenge. By following these steps, you will be able to: Assign practice tests to your team Identify areas where students may need to concentrate on to become more competitive. Identify and prepare for any potential issues arising on test day. Hint: Although it is possible to assign paper tests, it is highly advised that you assign at least one online test

I. Getting Started: Teacher and Class registration. Go to: https://cee.linkit.com/registration a. Fill in the requested information then click Register to begin the registration process. b. After clicking the Register button you will be taken to the below window.

I. Getting Started: Teacher and Class registration (continued) Click the Data Admin tab at the top of the screen then Click the Register Class tab on the left hand side of the screen.

I. Getting Started: Teacher and Class registration (continued) Click on the Add New Class button Fill in the requested information School zip code. Select your school from the drop-down menu. If you don’t see your school, select Add New School. Enter Course Name (for your reference). Enter Section Number (for your reference).

I. Getting Started: Teacher and Class registration (continued) You will be taken back to the previous window and your class should be displayed. If you have multiple classes please repeat steps 3, 4 and 5. Click on the Manage Student button as per below. Populate the class roster with the requested student information. Student Local Code (a number unique to the student) Student First Name Student Last Name Repeat step 7 until all students have been added. Please note: you may cut and paste information from an Excel sheet.

II. Assign Online Test Click on the Online Testing icon at the top of the screen, then click Assign Online Test

II. Assign Online Test (continued) When the below window appears, use the following filters to select the appropriate test (Grade > Subject > Bank > Test). Adam Smith Division: Filter by 9-12 > Economics > Adam Smith > Section. Or David Ricardo Division: Filter by 9-12 > Economics > David Ricardo > Section. Select your class by first selecting the appropriate school. Select the appropriate class, then click Assign.

II. Assign Online Test (continued) Once you click Assign, a box will appear below the Assign button that will display the Test Code. The Test Code will be needed during the test administration.

III. Test Administration Have student go to test.linkit.com to access the exam. You must provide students with the Test Code you created during step 3 in the previous section Have student enter the Test Code, then click Submit

III. Test Administration (continued) Next a window will appear with all the students in your class; students should click on their name then click Select. Caution: Be sure that the student does not select another student’s name and please actively proctor the exam to be sure that each student is working on only his or her own exam. (The student’s name will appear in the upper left corner of the computer monitor.) Student should click Begin Test Students should answer all questions If students don’t answer all questions they will receive this message before they submit

III. Test Administration (continued) If students answer all questions they will receive this message before they submit Your students have completed the exam, and no further action is needed.
