United Kingdom themed homework Autumn Term United Kingdom themed homework Below are different activities relating to our topic. Pupils can complete as many tasks as they wish from the sheet. They should have completed at least one every two weeks, when they are brought in to be checked and shared on the Monday specified on the homework document (found on the school website). You must choose at least 1 writing task every half term. Draw Visit Write Make Create your own flag Create your own flag for the Surrey area! Draw a comic about a cartoon character visiting a capital city in the United Kingdom Remember to include speech and thought bubbles. Draw a tartan design Create your very own tartan design for your family name. Visit a London Park Take photos of your visit and be ready to share with the class. Visit the Museum of London Take photos of your visit and be ready to share with the class. Visit Tate Britain Take photos of your visit and be ready to share with the class. Create a brochure Create a brochure advertising a capital city. Ensure you encourage people to want to visit that area. Setting description Using your literacy target, write a description of a capital city without using the place name. Challenge your teacher to guess the place. Write a fact file about the Patron Saints Create a fact file about a Patron Saint. Postcard creation Create your own postcard design of an area in the United Kingdom. You could send it to school. Make your own Scottish Shortbread Find the recipe online. Take photos of your creation! Make a collage Create a collage about one of the countries in the United Kingdom.
