Contractor Mode Administration Tab Overview Administration is where the basic setup is done for a contract. It has the basic contract description, prime contractor and subcontractor information Contract Access Control is an important module where the contractor will setup permissions for his staff on the selected contract RFI's, Correspondence and Payrolls allow for tracking of important administrative items

Contract Description Read Only for Contractor Mode Contractor should review for accuracy and understanding Even though the contract description module is read only for contractors, they should still review it because it has important information. Contractors should review the information for their knowledge and to confirm that everything appears correct.
Contract Access Control Critical for setting up permissions to allow staff to access contracts/modules Unless a user is a contractor mode administrator, then the only way they can open a contract is to have access setup here User roles are covered separately, but basically a user role allows selection of read/write/no access to each area of a contract Setup user roles first Simply assign an appropriate user role to each user for the contract
Correspondence – Selection View The selection view for correspondence has useful tiles for filtering at the top Easy to se letters requiring an answer AND letters you sent that are awaiting answers Letters either come from Home Office (H-####) or from Site Office (S-####) Letters are automatically/sequentially numbered Letters are not visible to the Government until sent (but Government can get access)
Correspondence – Edit View Contractor creates their own correspondence Document Package Manager allows attachment of the actual letter and any supporting attachments If the letter answers another letter, then link it in the Letters Answered by Grid - use the button above the grid If another letter is an answer to the letter being edited, you can add the answering letter in the Letters Answering grid - use the button above the grid Also an option to create a New letter to answer the letter being edited Contractor creates their own correspondence (no option to generate)
Prime Contractor Full Name and Short Name or only editable by Government Mode All other information should be entered by or verified by contractor
Requests for Information – Selection View The selection view for RFIs has four tiles for filtering RFIs Easy for contractor to see RFIs being prepared AND RFIs awaiting government response
Requests for Information – Edit View Subject, information requested, and date requested are required to mark RFI complete Once marked complete, RFI is read only for contractor RFIs are not visible to the Government until sent (but Government can get access) Feature of work can optionally be set RFI can optionally be linked to a particular subcontractor RFI Form is available as report/preview
Subcontractors Four character responsibility code is required Either manually entered or imported from SDEF Clarify with scheduler and plan it out Avoid different sets of responsibility codes Provide administrative information on SBA, second tier, payroll day of the week, etc…
Contractor Insurance Setup contractors in subcontractor first Enter dates for General, Auto, and Workman Comp Include insurance documents in document package Update when needed with new document package
Contractor Payrolls Undergoing full revision Will be tracking much more detail for each payroll Expected in Late March
