San Gabriel Valley Healthy Collaborative We are a coalition of community activists/advocates, health professionals, and researchers dedicated to empowering youth and families to live healthier lives and become leaders/educators promoting health and social justice with their fellow community members. We seek to collaborate with others empowering youth and families to become peer educators/health promoters.

We are most proud of our work to… Design and implement programs that develop the leadership abilities and talents of ethnic minority youth so they can educate their peers about living healthier and raising awareness in their communities Results: Youth becoming health educators and giving workshops to other youth to improve health in their families and communities

Activist Spokesperson Who Best Represents Us (and why) “Dolores Huerta” – Don’t think we can live up to her but she is dedicated to social justice, empowerment, community engagement, grassroots efforts and was instrumental in migrant worker rights along with Cesar Chávez, yet not very well known.
