Environmental Issues Disaster strikes!

Starter: Interpreting photographs What? Why? Where? When? Who? How can you tell?

(Sea Empress Oil Spill) You are a journalist working for The Independent paper. News just in from the Welsh Radio station, ‘Pembrokeshire FM’ has reported that (an oil tanker has run aground) and that an environmental disaster is unfolding. You have been sent to Wales to report on the (oil spill.) Your story is to be front page news. Begin by gathering the facts. Use as many different credible sources as you can to help you.

Hold the frontpage…. You are responsible for writing an account of the (oil spill.) Follow the front page guideline to help you set your workout. Look at the assessment sheet to check that you are meeting the criteria. Remember that your report must capture the readers attention.
