Created by OBCF Sunday School The Easter Story Read slide out loud to students then ask “What do you think the Easter story is about?” Let students think/pair/share Call on volunteers to share their ideas with everyone NOTES: - This presentation may need to be split up into parts depending on how much time the particular Sunday school has to present it. - Internet access is a must to watch the videos and read the stories linked to this presentation. Ask students and allow 1-2 minutes to think, pair, share after each question: “What do you know about this picture?” “Who was there?” “Where were they?” “What did all the people say?” ( Hosanna in the highest). “What do we call this day?” (Palm Sunday) Click and display slide title “Good Friday” Play song “Hosanna Rock” from www.worshiphousekids.com by clicking the link in the slide. Have students stand and sing/dance along by following the motions in the video/song. Ask - Why did the people say “Hosanna in the highest” to Jesus? Was he the kind of “King” they thought he was? Why or why not? Let students think/pair/share for all of the questions above and share responses with the class.
