a campaign to change throw-away plastic bag culture

It is estimated that approximately 10 thousand tons of plastic waste is generated per day.

PLASTIC bags can take up to 1000 years to decompose PLASTIC bags can take up to 1000 years to decompose. As they slowly decompose, plastic bags break into tiny pieces and leech toxic chemicals into soils, lakes, rivers, and oceans.

Discarded plastic bags litter our streets and our fields.

The project was launched on Earth Day, 22nd April 2007
