The Czech republic has eleven public holidays The Czech republic has eleven public holidays. They are mostly international, but five of them ar national, such as independence day, or others.

January 1st This is the first day of the year according to the Gregorian calendar. It is the most worldwide celebrated day. All over the world fireworks are fired off at midnight of the old year.

January 1st In the Czech republic this day also means the Restoration Day of the Independent Czech State It happened in 1993 Czechoslovakia divided into two separate countries, Czech Republic and Slovakia

Easter Monday Easter is a Christian feast It is celebrated for two days (Sunday and Monday) in the Czech republic Easter symbols are sheep, cross, painted eggs Old tradition is that boys bang girls with woven willow sticks (pomlázka)
