You will be responsible for collecting and sourcing your images. You will have draw one element of the comic strip. You can decide how you layout it out (Portrait/ Landscape) but it must use the template with the correct font and border. You can decide what colours and what effects to use. Year 9 Graphics: Comic Strip Task 2: Find/Get the image and save the image in your document folder. Then open it up in Photoshop. Create a new document which is A3 Landscape/ Portrait sized and then paste the photo in. This will give you a chance to check the resolution. (If you have taken via phone you need to have emailed to your riddlesdown email so you can access it a school)

Year 9 Graphics: Comic Strip Task 3: You are now going to manipulate this image into a black an white sketch. Duplicate the layer to become top layer. Select top layer. On the top third layer invert the image, Image > Adjustments > Invert Change this layer to Color Dodge. Then select Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur. Then adjust pixels to get black and white sketch. Then merge layers, so you can print it off.

Year 9 Graphics: Comic Strip Task 4: Print the edit image on A3. Then using a light-box and fine-liners, create an outline drawing which will be scanned in. Make sure that you join up most lines, especially the external lines to help fill it with colour.
