The “New Normal” Alarming Consumer Debt: Depleting of Pension Funds: The reality of living & succeeding in today’s America Alarming Consumer Debt: Average credit card debt per household is $16,000. The average American carries 3.5 credit cards. Depleting of Pension Funds: Over 84,000 pension plans have been eliminated since 1985 to nearly 30,000 remaining today. Failing Social Security: Social Security’s income is projected to be insufficient to pay currently scheduled benefits by 2016. Insufficient retirement & savings: 36% of workers have less than $1,000 in savings and investments that will be used for retirement. Our National Debt is increasing at an exponential rate: National Debt has a proportional effect in taxes, inflation and more. Market Volatility is a certainty: In the last 15 years the S&P has experienced over 20% losses multiple times. Unemployment & under employment are a reality: Although unemployment has been at a record high underemployment is the real problem. Disturbing Lack of financial education: Leads to poor savings, Financial Stress, Fear and Uncertainty. .
