Spreadsheet Skills Modelling Mario – Part 2

Lesson Objectives Use spreadsheet software to build a model. By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to: Use spreadsheet software to build a model. Use Macros to improve the functionality of a spreadsheet model. Justify the benefits of using Macros.

Starter – Card sort game. Rules. When you see the question, put the cards on your table in the correct order to make your formula. Put your hands up when you think you have the correct answer. DO NOT shout out! The team next to may hear your answer.

Question 1. What is the formula to work out the TOTAL marks for ‘Mary Davenport’? Answer: =SUM(B5:C5)

Question 2. What is the formula to work out the AVERAGE Calories Answer: =AVERAGE(B3:B14)

Question 3. What is the formula to work out the MAXIMUM mark for the class’? Answer: =MAX(C2:C10)
