Confucius 1. Confucius was a philosopher 2. He was born in 551 BC 3. He is the founder of Confucianism which some consider a religion and some consider a form of moralities or both. 4. He emphasized respect for your elders and kindness towards all humanity 5. He also taught about ethics and morality

Confucius 1. Confucius was born into a warrior family. 2.. His family was poor but well respected. 3. Kong Qiu is Confucius’s real name. 4. Confucius’s father died when Confucius was young so he was brought up by his mother. 5. Confucius traveled all around China and did not return home until he was sixty eight.

Why is Confucius Respected? Confucius defined how to run the government and live your life back in ancient China. He is considered one of the greatest philosophers of all time.

Teachings 1. Confucius taught extensively about ethics and behavior. 2. He also taught about the afterlife. 3. Life is all about doing things for the greater good. 4. Confucius taught how to run the government. Confucius also taught about respect and love towards other human beings.

Temples 1. The tomb of Confucius is in Kong Lin cemetery. 2. Qufu is Confucius’s hometown and a place to worship him. 3. The Taiwan Confucius temple is another place of worship. This shows that his teachings are spread wide a far. 4. Confucius and Buddha temples are often found together. 5. His biggest temple is in his hometown.
