I wish to meet my favorite basketball player MISSION Our Mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Chelsey, 18, autoimmune disease and neuromuscular condition I wish to meet my favorite basketball player

KADEN, 4, autoimmune disease I wish to play football with Mickey Mouse VISION & NEED Our Vision is to make every eligible child’s wish come true. ___________________________________ Each year, over 300 Connecticut children are diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Currently we grant 215 wishes in Connecticut each year. KADEN, 4, autoimmune disease I wish to play football with Mickey Mouse

LACROSSE FOR WISHES The Lacrosse for Wishes program enables kids to help grant the wishes of kids with life-threatening medical conditions. WHO: 120+ athletes grades 4th through 10th all throughout CT WHAT: Athletes participate in lacrosse tournaments during the summer lacrosse lesson. Leading up to the tournaments and throughout the season, each player will be raising money for Make-A-Wish Connecticut (a minimum of $500 per player). WHERE: Practices are held at multiple locations throughout Fairfield County. Athletes participate in up to 4 tournaments throughout New England. WHEN: Practices begin in June with tournament play starting in June and ending in late July. WHY: Funds raised help grant the wishes of children with life- threatening medical conditions. Athletes will have the combined value of improving at their sport while learning about the impact their own philanthropy and dedication can have on another child’s life. HOW: Once teams are selected, athletes sign a commitment form and received a personal fundraising webpage. .

LACROSSE FOR WISHES Impact 120+ Connecticut kids from more than 20 Connecticut communities participate in the program 2,000+ new individual and corporate donors support Make-A-Wish 8-10 wishes granted each year by participants Fundraising quadrupled since inception “As a parent it really makes us feel good to see our children, who love the game of lacrosse and are here to be with their friends kind of transcend that, and realize the money they’re raising will help other children,” Tom Maurath of Newtown

LACROSSE FOR WISHES In addition to granting wishes, kids can expect to walk away with a better understanding of: Value of community service Volunteerism Leadership skills Teamwork Money management Presentation skills Entrepreneurship/business skills
