Entry Task 11/2/16 This is where YOU live… it’s known as the Shrub steppe Ecosystem. What living things would you find in our ecosystem? They may be in this picture and many are hiding.

Entry Task 11/3/16 Write down observations, questions and/or connections to the diagram.

Shrub Steppe Ecosystem Foodweb Sort the cards into producers, decomposers and consumers (you may even further sort the consumers into sub categories: bugs, birds…) For each trophic level identify 4 organisms Draw the arrows following the path of energy Copy your final product on your own sheet of paper, with arrows (in the right direction)

Questions Complete your Food Web (make sure there are arrows) Create a situation where you remove 1 consumer from the Shrub Steppe Ecosystems. How does the removal/extinction affect more than 2 organisms in the food web? Add 1 invasive species (pig, wolf, cobra). How does the addition affect more than 2 organisms in the food web? Summarize what a food web shows us?
