Coddenham Churchyard Wall In need of Repair

The wall that surrounds the churchyard is in very poor condition The wall that surrounds the churchyard is in very poor condition. In the last year there have been 2 collapses. The one by the main gate has been repaired and work on re-building part of the rear wall will commence in the Spring.

Who is responsible? Closed churchyard maintenance costs have to be funded by local authority Diocese has to approve all works by means of a faculty

Repairs Required Consulted with Diocese and English Heritage. They recomend: Relay brick courses on top of flint wall Re-point flints Estimated cost: £10,000 (£70,000 if re- build required) Are grants available? Possibly Investigations continue Parish Council will have to fund some of cost
