Volcano introduction This is a powerpoint about volcanoes that are famous. Some of these facts are as violent as Vesuvius, the only volcano in Europe. There are a thousand volcanoes in existence. 500 are on are on the earth and, believe it or not ,500 are in space .

Volcano facts Volcanoes are very dangerous, destructive and deadly. Although they can be exiting and colourful they can cause a lot of damage. Mount Krakatau is in the sea as well as over 200 over volcanoes . These are called seamounts and can change the sea. The loudest volcanic eruption was the explosion of Krakatoa ,Indonesia in 1883 – it was heard from over 3,500 km away. This is the ring of fire . It is a ring of volcanoes. Inside the ring of fire is the pacific ocean.

It is the only volcano in Europe and hasn`t erupted in 800 years.
