Volcano facts Volcanoes are very dangerous, destructive and deadly. Although they can be exiting and colourful they can cause a lot of damage. Mount Krakatau is in the sea as well as over 200 over volcanoes . These are called seamounts and can change the sea. The loudest volcanic eruption was the explosion of Krakatoa ,Indonesia in 1883 – it was heard from over 3,500 km away. This is the ring of fire . It is a ring of volcanoes. Inside the ring of fire is the pacific ocean.

Volcanoes Eyjafjallajokull erupted 2010 in Iceland, May. The tallest volcano in the world is Ojos del selado! The largest volcano is Mauna Lao in Hawaii. Mount Vesuvius is a famous volcano in Italy. Some volcanoes have red hot lava streams. There are volcanoes on the moon and all the planets have them to. In Italy, there is a volcano called Mount Vesuvius. It is the only volcano in Europe and hasn`t erupted in 800 years.
