What do you think of when you think of “AFRICA”?

Africa Unit Goal: To understand the facts and fiction of African geography and explain its impact on the people of Africa.

Mombasa, Kenya

Problems with African Geography Africa is one large plateau: Poor soil for farming. Rivers are not very navigable. Climate is very dry in many areas. Rainforests are not great for farming. Minerals are not evenly distributed.

The Sahara Desert is 3.3 million sq. miles The United States is 3.6 million sq. miles
