Personal Hygiene What is personal hygiene? Keeping your body clean is important to keep you healthy and helping you feel good with yourself.

How can you stay healthy? Exercise helps you stay healthy.

-Make sure you take a shower using soap -Make sure you take a shower using soap. --Shampoo your hair to be clean. -Smell nice everyday.

Brush your teeth at least three times a day.

Wear clean clothes, clean socks and clean underwear everyday.

Put your dirty clothes in the laundry.

During the day wash your hands often to keep germs away.

Keep your fingernails short and clean.

Staying clean keeps you healthy. Germs can get on your hands. Wash your hands before you eat, after you touch a pet, and after using the bathroom.

-You need to sleep to keep healthy. -Sleeping well helps you work and play. -You need eight to ten hours of sleep every night.

Wash your hands to protect you from being sick. Germs can cause colds. A-choo! Wash your hands to protect you from being sick.

Germs can also cause “stomach flu”.

Cover your mouth when you cough to prevent others from being sick .
